ShotDate

Stamp the date, time, and place onto any photo, right on your phone.

ShotDate reads the real date a photo was taken and stamps it directly onto the image, along with the time and location if you want them. No editing software, no typing dates by hand.

iOSAndroid

The problem

Old disposable cameras used to burn the date right into the corner of every photo, and there was something useful about that: you always knew exactly when a picture was taken without digging through file metadata. Phones buried that information instead. The date lives in invisible EXIF data that disappears the moment you screenshot, text, or upload a photo anywhere.

That's a real problem any time a photo needs to prove when or where it was taken. A move-in inspection, a delivery, a warranty claim, a job site, or just wanting that nostalgic timestamped look back. Cropping a date onto a photo by hand in an editing app works for one picture; it's a chore for twenty.

How ShotDate solves it

ShotDate reads the actual date a photo was taken straight from its EXIF data and stamps it onto the image automatically. No typing, no guessing. Add time and location too if you want them, choose where the stamp sits and how it looks, and export.

It works fully offline, never touches your original photo, and stays fast for batches: select a group of photos, stamp them all at once, and they land back in your gallery ready to send.

Frequently asked questions

Does ShotDate change my original photo?

No. ShotDate saves the stamped version as a new photo in your gallery and leaves the original untouched.

Where does the date come from?

ShotDate reads the photo's EXIF metadata for the date it was actually taken. If that's missing, it falls back to the file's creation date, and you can always adjust it by hand.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. ShotDate works entirely offline. Location stamping is the only feature that optionally uses your phone's location services.

How much does ShotDate cost?

It's free for your first 5 exports. After that, a single $1.99 purchase unlocks unlimited exports for good, no subscription.

Can I stamp more than one photo at a time?

Yes. Select multiple photos and ShotDate stamps and exports the whole batch in one pass.
